Carpenters Mate pro hexagon head screws have been specifically developed for fixing multiple pieces of timber together. These structurally approved timber screws have an 8mm hex drive head for easy insertion, and a countersunk under the washer-hex head to assist in providing a flush finish. The Carpenters Mate pro hex head screws feature a slash point to reduce timber splittage and remove the need for pre-drilling.

The Technical Stuff

Carpenters Mate pro hex head screws have performed initial type testing under system 3, Annex V of the regulation (EU) no. 305/2011 (Construction Products Regulation), with the reference to the harmonised European standard (hEN) BS EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 (Timber structures - Dowel type fasteners - Requirements) for nails intended for the use in “load bearing timber structures”.

This means that Carpenters Mate hex head screws are fully tested and approved to be used in structural timber applications, replacing a traditional coach screw/coach bolt which are more expensive and time consuming to fit.

Orders over £100 will qualify for free 2-3 working day delivery*. Orders under £100 will be subject to a carriage charge - please see below for our delivery options.

Orders placed before 15:00 with next working day/timed services, Saturday & Royal Mail Special Delivery services will be dispatched the same day (Monday to Friday). Orders placed with any of these services after 15:00 will not be dispatched until the next working day. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. Next working day means Monday - Friday, excluding bank holidays. Orders placed with any of the aforementioned services will not be delivered on a Saturday or Sunday. For Saturday deliveries, select 'Saturday Delivery' in the basket.

Collection

All orders are available for collection from our stores. Collection orders will normally be ready within 2 hours of the order being placed, as long as all items are in stock at the time of order.
